WHAT TO EXPECT ON INSTALLATION DAY

By NICK JOHNSON

We want to make sure that you have an easy and stress-free window installation, so we put this post together for you. It covers everything from what happens before the install begins all the way through after it’s done; there shouldn’t be any surprises during or after a replacement project!

The first thing you should know is that the installation process will take some time. Depending on the size of your home and how many windows you have purchased, it could be anywhere between one and three days for our installers to complete their work. During this time, we ask that you keep your pets inside or in a safe place away from the construction area so they don’t get hurt during installation. We also ask that children not play around the construction area as there may be sharp tools and debris lying around which could cause injury if stepped on or handled by an unsuspecting child.

Our second request is that you make sure all valuables are moved out of sight before we begin installing your new windows. This includes any expensive electronics such as televisions, computers, and stereo equipment which might be damaged if accidentally bumped into while our crew works on installing your new window frames throughout each room of your home or office building (depending on what type of project you choose). If possible, please remove these items from rooms where work will occur so they aren’t accidentally broken during installation; however if this isn’t possible then please ensure all valuable items are covered with protective padding prior to beginning work in those areas to avoid damage due to contact with moving parts like saws and hammers used by our install teams when cutting wood framing members for window openings in walls.

Our crew will then begin by removing the window screens and storm windows. Next, they will take out the sashes and sliding tracks of your old windows. Your new window will now be installed into the frame opening.

After the job is complete, our crew will thoroughly clean up both the inside and outside of your home where some of our debris may have fallen.  Don’t worry – we wouldn’t consider leaving that up to you!

We have been doing this for over 30 years, and we pride ourselves on our attention to detail and quality workmanship. Our employees are trained to be courteous and respectful of your home while they do their job.

You can trust us with your project because we take the time to listen to you, understand what you want, and explain how it will be done. When the job is complete, you will see that we took care of every detail so that everything works together seamlessly. Your new windows will look great!

We also provide financing for your new windows.  Check with us for current rates and promotions.  Contact Window and Door Specialties today for your free window consultation!
